The Ripple Effect: talks and conversations
I give talks and lead conversations on ecology, people and change. They work best outdoors, or around a fire, where the story takes shape together with the people who are there.
The Australian Indigenous thinker Tyson Yunkaporta calls this way of sharing knowledge yarning: knowledge that emerges in live conversation. I've brought the form into my own work, with thanks to where it comes from.
Background
For ten years I was on the front lines of European climate and cultural movements, helping to build and facilitate movements across Europe. It taught me a lot about courage, group dynamics and endurance, about what actually moves people, and about what it's like to lose the ground under a movement and find it again.
Themes
-
How change happens, in people and in movements
-
Ecological identity and belonging
-
Courage and risk, and what the body knows about them
-
How the stories we live by can be told anew
For organizations
For Norwegian and international organizations and communities, I also offer talks and workshops on regenerative ways of working, where depth psychology and organizational psychology meet. The aim is workplaces that strengthen people and living systems instead of getting in their way.
Formats
-
Conversation circles and talks, from small groups to large venues
-
Experience-based workshops for groups and organizations, preferably outdoors
-
Contributions to festivals, gatherings and professional events
When you get in touch, tell me about the occasion, the place and the group. Prices and terms are under Ethics and prices.
Contact
All processes and collaborations begin with a brief written inquiry. Please share a little about your current situation, or that of your organization, and what you are seeking. There’s no need to go into detail at this stage, and please don’t include more personal or health information than you’re comfortable with. Inquiries are treated confidentially.
Capacity for individual processes and consultation is currently limited. I read every inquiry and will reach out if there is availability and a good foundation for working together.
My work is not health care or treatment, but it can complement it. If you are in acute crisis, please don’t wait for a reply from me. Contact your GP, the emergency room (116 117) or, in an emergency, 113.
