Contact points for emergencies
If you need help now in Norway
My work is not healthcare or emergency crisis support. If you are struggling, there are many places you can reach out to, day and night. You don't need to wait, and you don't have to manage it alone.

Health services
• Your GP (fastlege) can offer support and refer you on, including to mental health services.
• Many municipalities have crisis teams and mental health services. Check your municipality's website.
People around you
Sometimes the first step is telling someone you trust: a friend, a family member, a colleague, or a manager. It can be as simple as: "I'm having a hard time right now. Do you have time to talk?"
Most of these services operate in Norwegian, but many can also help in English.
This overview is inspired by the resource list in "Selvkritisk" by Aksel Inge Sinding and Sigrid Magelssen Skeide (Gyldendal). Phone numbers and opening hours may change, so please check the websites for up-to-date information.
