About Martin

I work at the intersection of organisational psychology, psychodynamic understanding, somatic practice and ecological awareness. The approach builds on current neuroscience and on older wisdom traditions.

Over the years I have worked with many individuals and teams in leadership and organisational development, and helped start and carry environmental and cultural movements in Norway. My master's research in psychology explored the embodied and relational roots of ecocentric identity and leadership.

For thirty years I have kept a close relationship with nature. For just as long, I have worked as a children's magician. It belongs with the rest. Both are about perception, wonder, and seeing beneath the surface of things.

I have been through deep personal and systemic transformation myself. I know in my body what it means to lose all familiar ground, and what it takes to return, more spacious and more robust. That experience is part of the foundation of my work.

In my practice there is no pressure, no rigid technique, no quick fix. I work with the conditions that let life rediscover its own rhythm and capacity, on steady ground.

The Place

The work happens from a home office and a small forest I tend, on a 600-year-old farm on Nesodden, south of Oslo.

Nature here is an active participant. The forest, the fjord, the wildlife and the shifting light through the trees are trusted colleagues. The nervous system recognises this kind of ground, settles into it, and begins to remember a relationship to living presence that everyday life often obscures.

The more-than-human world has its own way of moving what nothing else reaches.

Online work is available where distance or context requires it.
